Hi, I’m Kath and I’ve been working with massage since 2007. I am registered with the
and abide by their code of ethics.
How did I get into massage? Well I think that massage actually found me and I love it.
Most of my life I have used massage as a means of aiding relaxation. I spent 30 years in the corporate world developing software and massage was my way to take time out and switch off, to step out of my mind and into my body, and just be.
When I tripped over my own feet in 2005 and managed to pop the tendons in my shoulder (an injury common to rugby players!) massage helped me immensely. Although the tendons in my shoulder healed very well, the muscles remained tight and painful still trying to support the injury and massage for me helped the muscles learn to relax and soften again.
This journey showed me how wonderfully resilient our bodies can actually be and how massage can play a really important part. I was hooked, and spent 2007 studying for a practitioner diploma in holistic massage with the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB).
Since then I have continued with my professional development in widening and advancing the skills and techniques I can use in my massage treatments.
I live and practice in the Malvern Hills and surrounding three counties area with my husband and a menagerie of animals.
Do I still develop software? Once a nerd, always a nerd! I love writing software but now I use it to help me with my business, for example I put this website together.
